About:

Ryan is a performer based in Singapore. His foray into the arts started in the Singapore Armed Forces’ Music and Drama Company, as an Artiste. 

​

 He has been working internationally as a professional dancer for a decade and his expertise in Jazz & Jazz Funk led him to choreograph for recitals, plays & commercial gigs. Most notably he was Assistant Choreographer for Singapore’s National Day Parade (2017). 

​

He received his early theatrical education with the American Academy of Dramatic Arts' Acting and Musical Theatre Summer Intensive in New York City. He then returned to Singapore and trained with Young & Wild, local theatre company Wild Rice's Actor Training arm, under the guidance of Edith Podesta. 

​

He has worked with numerous local companies such as the Singapore Repertory Theatre, Wild Rice, Dream Academy and The Necessary Stage. His ability to perform in both English and Mandarin also enabled him to work with Nine Years Theatre (九年剧场），The Theatre Practice (实践剧场）and Toy Factory Productions (肥料厂).

He was last seen in Nine Years Theatre's Immortal Variable, a cross-border collaboration with Taiwan's Hsing Legend Youth Theatre 兴传奇青年剧场，the youth arm of Contemporary Legend Theatre. This show was staged in both Taiwan and Singapore.

In his film career he has been seen in local icon Dick Lee's Biopic "Wonder Boy", short films and shows on Free-To-Air TV Channels 5 and 8. He has extensive experience in TVCs for brands such as, Singlife Insurance, McDonalds, Singtel Power, Silkpro, Land Transport Authority.

He is interested in Intimacy Direction and Choreography. He is also an Dance Educator for children aged 5 and up. In his spare time, you can find him at the gym!
